In a surprising collaboration that defies usual forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous changes reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a hidden sect.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a terrifying enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who finish the adventure will receive an unique katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also adds the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery."
